Preparations<\/h3>

The theme for this year\u2019s Globe Days: How to make the Children\u2019s Meeting Place at the UN in Nairobi more visible, accessible, sustainable, fun and exciting!
The GlobeDays became a fantastic creative workshop where 130 children and adults from 26 countries \u2013 from all continents! \u2013 met with students and teachers from six City districts of Stockholm. All came with ideas and worked on models to make the Children\u2019s Meeting Place Children\u2019s Meeting Place at the United Nations in Nairobi more visible, accessible, fun and exciting.
Adults \u2013 the leaders and teachers \u2013 participated in an Open Caf\u00e9. The theme: How can we adults give support to the children\u2019s ideas \u2013 from ideas to action!<\/p>

I Stadshuset finns en riktig Skattkista! F\u00f6rr i tiden hade man pengar i den. N\u00e4r klockan slog 12 p\u00e5 Millennienatten f\u00f6rvandlades pengakistan. Den blev en kista d\u00e4r barn l\u00e4gger h\u00e4lsningar och saker som \u00e4r viktiga inf\u00f6r framtiden. N\u00e4sta Millennium \u00f6ppnas Skattkistan och man kan l\u00e4sa och se vad barn i v\u00e4rlden tycker \u00e4r viktigt. Det blev l\u00e5ng k\u00f6 till Skattkistan n\u00e4r alla barn kom f\u00f6r att l\u00e4gga sina symboler, presenter och ber\u00e4ttelser.
I Gyllene Salen i Stockholms Stadshus visade barnen sina modeller och ber\u00e4ttade om sina id\u00e9er f\u00f6r Stadsdirekt\u00f6r Lars R\u00e5dh och andra ledare i Stadshuset, Utbildningsf\u00f6rvaltningen och speciellt inbjudna g\u00e4ster. Tio dagar senare fylldes salen av \u00e5rets Nobelpristagare och deras g\u00e4ster.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our Uniting Water Ceremony<\/h3>

All adults \u2013 Guests of Honor, lecturers, teachers, chaperons and volunteers were deeply moved when the children united their water and soil in Our Uniting Water and Soil Ceremony at the City Hall. The children brought a bowl of water and a handful of soil from a place they care for at home. One by one the children came up to the Crystal Bowl and shared their concern for their water and soil.<\/p>

The children read their Water and Soil Declaration and handed over united water and soil to the Guests of Honor. The sound of a seashell led the way to the Children\u2019s Meeting Place, the old oak tree at the Courtyard. The Guests of Honor moved around the tree and gave the united water and soil to the roots of the oak tree.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
